Cara Cohan has been in marketing for over 20 years. After graduating from Hofstra University in NY, she worked on Wall Street for Barclays Bank and Credit Suisse in international banking prior to attending Law School. Deciding to remain in marketing as opposed to law, she focused on database marketing as a means of working with corporate clients on increasing their response rates and acquisition through more effective means of creative formats, data mining and database segmentation.
She spent a few years in the entertainment industry before moving onto the partner consulting side working for direct marketing and printing organizations such as Towne Allpoints Communications, Vertis Communications and RR Donnelley.
Cara joined Advantage in 2010 to engage with clients on developing cross-media campaigns with an emphasis on direct marketing strategy and database marketing. Her focus has been developing acquisition campaigns and working with clients on existing continuity and loyalty programs. Her mix of clients include Casino Gaming (Las Vegas and Indian Gaming), Medical, Financial, Retail and Travel / Hospitality. Current and past clients have included: Caesars Entertainment, Microsoft, Honda, Bosley Medical, AAA, Boyd Gaming and Stamps.com.
In her spare time, Cara is also a personal trainer and avid Tae Bo enthusiast, working towards becoming a Certified Tae Bo Instructor. She loves to travel with her husband Tom, sample great food and greasy food, hit the beach, ride a horse and play with her dogs!
